Carbon Footprint

Our commitment to environmental accountability led us to create a robust and comprehensive Carbon Footprint Verification Service. This process involves verifying the Organizational Greenhouse Emission Report for a particular reference year.

We align our service with numerous international and national standards, including ISO 14065:2013, ISO 14064-1:2018, ISO 14064-3:2019, the GHG Protocol Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard, and National Climate Law 4936/2022 (FEK A’ 105/27-05-2023).

The initial stage in determining your organizational carbon footprint involves specifying the purpose of the inventory. All procedures and the yearly report must align with the inventory requirements.

We perform carbon footprint estimation as per the “2006 IPCC Guidelines for National Greenhouse Gas Inventories standards,” which include direct and indirect greenhouse gas emissions from energy consumption.

Our Verification Approach

We regard verification as a cyclical process, striving to continuously improve the operator’s Greenhouse Gas management and control systems. Our method includes the following steps:

Pre-Contract Stage:

We analyze information from the operator, assess the scope and complexity of verification activities, assign the verification team, and prepare a draft contract.

Strategic and Preliminary Risk Analysis:

Here, we strive to understand your organization and develop a verification plan. We identify potential system failures and focus on areas with higher risk.

Verification Plan:

We create a detailed verification plan based on our risk analysis. This includes the verification program, a data analysis plan, and necessary site visit details.

Process Analysis:

We examine your organization through site visits, interviews, document reviews, and data corroboration.

Data Analysis:

Our team thoroughly analyses the collected Greenhouse Gas data to identify potential errors.

Reporting:

We maintain an Issues Log throughout the process, listing any emerging issues or outstanding requests. The operator can take corrective actions, and these issues are considered when preparing the opinion statement.

Technical Review:

An independent review of the verification process is conducted by a competent person to ensure due diligence and professional judgment.

Final Verification Report & Statement:

We provide the operator with a final verification opinion.
