Emicert is the first verification body in Greece to be accredited by the National Accreditation System (ESYD) to conduct greenhouse gas emissions verifications under Law 4936/2022 (National Climate Law).
This is a development of considerable significance, as the Ministry of Development has made it clear that emissions verification for municipalities, facilities, and businesses falling under Articles 16, 19, and 20 of Law 4936/2022 may only be conducted by bodies whose accreditation by ESYD explicitly covers the requirements of the Climate Law.
With this specific accreditation, Emicert is able to support organizations required to verify their emissions, contributing to regulatory compliance, transparency, and the enhancement of their credibility in the context of growing ESG and sustainability requirements.
